Posted: 18 Aug 2004 Haha...anyone else have this problem?..we had two today after heavy rain (one was well inside the house) because we often leave the back door open a crack for the cats to come and go, and the froggies get in too. What are they attracted to? Warmth? light? |

Posted: 20 Aug 2004 Donny This sounds to me 'like something the cat brought in' Our own latest feline addition to the family _we're back up to four, has brought 6 imm. frogs in through the cat flap over the last two months, during rainy weather. One was killed, while another found 'dried up' in the bedroom, and with a 'Lesser Stag Beetle' picked up in the hall, all were translocated. Up untill then, only Wood Mice we're brought in, dead and alive, by the others. Out of doors, they've also had Brown Rat, Blue Tit, Dunnock, Blackbird and Wood Pigeon. The new kitten kills Bluebottles indoors (great) but chases moths, butterflies & bumblebees in the garden . . . it's a hard one John |

Posted: 20 Aug 2004 I am pretty sure they found their own way in, as they were both alive and kicking...didn't look like the cats had had a go at them. I know what you mean tho...one of ours is a specialist at killing butterflies...strangest one was a live mole running about the house. |

Posted: 10 Oct 2004 No offence but that just goes to show how destructive cats are, thats four different types of bird your cat has killed and goodness only knows how many more and that only 1 cat now imagine how many other birds are killed by the millions of cats in britain. Something should be done, i know i take measures to stop cats uin my garden.
